“Dear PoPville,
For weeks if not months now, there’s been some kind of underground project happening in front of the townhouses on the southern side of M St. NW between 9th and 10th (near Mt. Vernon Square metro).
I don’t know what they’re doing, but they’ve basically dug up the front yards of the entire row of houses and progress seems… slow. (more…)

From an email:
“I just finished a film short, Downloading Statehood, which builds on my DC/Adapters project (an archive of the ways that folks in the District use and adapt our flag). Downloading Statehood points to our flag, but really it’s about encouraging more people to play with the graphic design of the flag — but specifically as a way to advocate for DC statehood.”

hahaha thanks to Aaron for sending: “Felt like someone was staring at me….spotted at union grocery in Shaw”
*This series will feature any pets in a backpack/bag. On metro, or not. Corgi, or not. Please email your sightings to [email protected]

Back in August we learned that renovations had started at Annabelle. At that time they hoped to open by late October. While that no longer seems realistic, obviously, a liquor license placard reveals that the renovations will increase the seating size:
“Applicant requests to increase Total Occupancy Load from 99 to 144.”
Updates when an exact opening date is picked.
