“BAD construction smell on M st NW between 9th and 10th”

“Dear PoPville,

For weeks if not months now, there’s been some kind of underground project happening in front of the townhouses on the southern side of M St. NW between 9th and 10th (near Mt. Vernon Square metro).

I don’t know what they’re doing, but they’ve basically dug up the front yards of the entire row of houses and progress seems… slow.

I walk by it on my commute every day and there is a HORRIBLE smell. It’s so bad that I have to basically hold my breath to walk by. I feel bad for the people who live there.

I’m wondering if the community has any idea what this is or when this awful project will be done?”
