“Dear PoPville,

Can you do a follow up on the “Suspects Sought in Kidnapping while Armed (Gun) Offenses in the Third and Fourth Districts”?

I found someone’s phone in front of my house (14th and Allison St NW). It turned out to be a neighbor who was jumped, kidnapped and taken to different ATMs to get money out.

This happened Thursday morning, 1:09 am, my Nest doorbell captured it.

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating suspects in connection to Kidnapping while Armed (Gun) offenses that occurred in the First, Third and Fourth Districts.

DMV Field Report “expired licenses must be renewed by Sept. 9”

From the DMV: “Residents now have until September 9, 2021 to renew their expired driver licenses and identification (ID) cards. After September 9, 2021, re-testing will be required for all driver licenses that have been expired for more than 365 days.”

“Dear PoPville,

I had to visit the DC DMV to convert my recently expired DC drivers license to a valid Real ID. This is a task that can’t be done online. I was frankly dreading it and put it off a bunch of times before I finally sucked it up and went — and it was totally fine! I mention this for others who may be holding off after feeling a doomed sense of horror including seeing hundreds of people in line recently at a DC DMV.
