Well this is REALLY awesome. Thanks to K Love for writing when we posted about the Biergarten Haus find: “This is my family’s old house and shoe store (later a 5&10).
I’ve also attached a photo of the building in an earlier iteration, when my great grandpa had a shoe store there (not sure the date on the photo, but my family was in the building from 1911 on).
When I was looking thru pics to find you an older one, I realized my family has a bunch of photos of H street back in the day (undated, sorry!). Thought you might like to see some of my favorites.”

Every first Sunday of the month shoppers will be able to browse Logan Circle’s newest monthly creative and vintage market. Logan Circle Main Street, in partnership with K-Bird, Barrel House Cafe & Bar, and Emily of LOVERS Plant Studio & Wares, host a monthly outdoor market designed to bring together local artists, makers, small businesses, and neighbors in the heart of the Logan Circle community.
The next market will be Sunday June 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM along P Street and Rhode Island Avenue NW, including the exterior of K-Bird and the northern exterior of Barrel House Cafe & Bar.

“Tulip Day Washington 2026, March 15
This spring, one of America’s most colorful public events will make its debut in the nation’s capital as Tulip Day Washington transforms DC’s National Mall into a breathtaking tulip-picking garden on March 15, 2026.
Approximately 150,000 tulips will be a vibrant, one-day floral showcase with views of the U.S. Capitol. From 11:15 AM – 4:15 PM, visitors will be invited to pick ten tulips for free to welcome the arrival of spring.
