From the DC Office of Planning:

“The Census Bureau released new population estimates for 2025 that shows the District of Columbia gained 2,335 residents from July 2024 to July 2025. The population increase is attributed to natural increase (more births than deaths) and international migration.

The Census Bureau also revised the 2024 population estimate based on new data, lowering the previous 2024 estimate from 702,250 to 691,310. With assessed growth for 2025, this puts the District’s 2025 estimated population at 693,645. (more…)

“Pepco sent an underground crew to investigate and determined the voltage was from a DC owned traffic signal post. Pepco crews worked to make the area safe and will be standing by until DDOT can respond to the scene.

It was an electrifying start to ArtRave’s 19th season, with a record-breaking attendance of 11,000 people! A huge thanks goes out to our supporters who came out in droves. We also extend our gratitude to the incredibly talented artisans across various artistic disciplines. Finally, a special shout-out to our dedicated staff for curating such a remarkable event and paying attention to every detail that makes ArtRave a unique venue. From fine arts and sculptures to high fashion, wood carving, table making, metalwork, live plants including Bonsai trees, book authorship, gourmet cuisine, and delicious baked goods, there was something for everyone to enjoy!

Join us for our next show on Saturday, April 25th, from 11 AM to 5 PM, featuring music in the park at our Dupont Circle venue located at 1913 Massachusetts Ave NW, at the corner of Connecticut Ave, just steps away from the Dupont Q Street Metro.

Over the years, we’ve welcomed burlesque, clown, live music, flow arts, drag, mime, pole, puppets, and a few things we still don’t quite know how to describe … and we’re doing it all again in May!

“As you know, Rosebuds, we were extremely excited about reopening today to serve you all. However, when our bakers arrived at 2AM this morning – our bakery has, yet again, been flooded.
