MPD Arrests 14 and 13 Year Old Suspects for Robbery on MBT

“The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of two suspects involved in a robbery that occurred on the Metropolitan Branch Trail in Northeast.

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m. the victim was walking on the trail near Rhode Island Avenue, Northeast when they were approached by multiple suspects on bicycles. (more…)

“The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the Petworth neighborhood.

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at approximately 9:01 p.m., Fourth District officers responded to the sound of gunshots in the 800 block of Taylor Street, Northwest and the 3700 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. (more…)
