We call upon the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) and Mayor Muriel Bowser to expand the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement to include all licensed childcare providers. It was an electrifying start to ArtRave’s 19th season, with a record-breaking attendance of 11,000 people! A huge thanks goes out to our supporters who came out in droves. We also extend our gratitude to the incredibly talented artisans across various artistic disciplines. Finally, a special shout-out to our dedicated staff for curating such a remarkable event and paying attention to every detail that makes ArtRave a unique venue. “Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating suspects in connection to Kidnapping while Armed (Gun) offenses that occurred in the Third and Fourth Districts.

Third District

· On Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at approximately 10:30 pm, the suspects approached the victim in the 1300 block of Corcoran Street, Northwest. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and additional suspects forced the victim inside of a vehicle. The suspects drove the victim to multiple ATMs and withdrew funds from the victim’s bank accounts. (more…)

“Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser and DC Health, led by Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt, announced an expansion of the Test Yourself DC program to put almost all of DC within a 20-minute walk of a Test Yourself DC site. Next week, 11 new sites will be added as places where individuals can pick up and drop off free at-home COVID-19 testing kits. (more…)
