You can talk about whatever is on your mind – quality of life issues, a beautiful tree you spotted, scuttlebutt, or any random questions/thoughts you may have. But please no personal attacks and no need to correct people’s grammar. This is a place to vent and/or celebrate things about daily life in D.C.

Looking for some more info about a car crash on Friday evening! Luckily nobody was hurt, but our car got sideswiped by a Washington Gas truck who failed to clear a right turn onto 6th St NW from Florida last night (around 5 pm). (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Apple the Yorkie whose story was shared last Monday is doing fantastic. In just one week, she has blossomed from matted, starving, and unsure into the most confident, bright, and loving dog you’ll ever meet. She wants to be held and snuggled 24/7 (and isn’t shy about vocalizing this desire), she LOVES playing with stuffies (pink sparkly Lamb Chop is her favorite), and she recently discovered that belly rubs are bliss. This morning in a bout of frustration I posted on our social media channels:
“Perhaps DC should issue some guidance about what we should do if our trash has STILL not been collected coming on week 3. Should we stack bags next to our cans? You have said collection would be back to normal last Monday. Please be aware that did not happen for all. Please advise us what to do while we wait.”

“Dear PoPville,
Any intel on the boulangerie moving into the Radici space? They’ve been working on it for seemingly forever. This (above) is essentially how the place has looked for MONTHS. I haven’t been able to see inside since they started work, but I heard they’re gutting the place?”
Good news to share! “We’re still waiting on the final Certificate of Occupancy and then we’re going to be good to go!
Our French bakers are here and ready to start baking for everyone!” (more…)
