1000 block of Brentwood Road, NE

Thanks to Nathan for sending: “there is signage for a Buffalo Wild Wings Go at Rhode Island Place just off the Rhode Island Avenue-Brentwood Metro stop.”

You can see their menus here.

Stay tuned for an opening date.

Ed. Note: There was a proper Buffalo Wild Wings in Navy Yard near Nats Park from 2015-2024.

The reader writes:

“Here’s an interesting mural at the corner of Florida Ave and 4th Street NW. It’s on the West side of the Ken’s Carry Out, a neighborhood fried chicken joint.”

I decided to use my own photo instead of the one the reader sent but I agree that this is one of the cooler murals in the city.

Now that I think of it, is Ken’s still open? It seems to be closed everytime I have walked past it.

Jam Doung is located at 1726 N Capitol Street, NW and frequently gets mentioned when I talk about “hidden” restaurants in the city. Reviewers from Yelp seem to agree giving high marks to this Jamaican spot. My question – how’s the jerk chicken? Do they deliver or is the take out only pick up?

More movement on 18th Street, NW. This time a bit further south from yesterday. Lloyd’s was located at 1917 18th St, NW. The plywood recently went up and the permits say that the proposed use will be a restaurant. Anyone happen to hear what type of restaurant is going in here? I’ll be sure to update as this project develops.
