Update from X: “Emergency services, including divers from the DC Fire and EMS Department and the DC Police Dive Team, responded promptly. Despite their efforts, the driver was pulled from the submerged vehicle in critical condition and later died in the hospital.”

DC Fire and EMS first reported around 7:30pm last night (THursday):

“Vehicle into Potomac River beneath the Arlington Memorial bridge. Vehicle submerged. In process of transporting divers out to scene. Vehicle came off the bridge after collision with another vehicle. (more…)
