“Rev’d, the Boston-born fitness studio with a growing franchise business via affiliate Rev’d Franchising, is thrilled to announce its plans to expand to Washington, D.C.
This next franchised Rev’d location, Rev’d Navy Yard (NVYD), is expected to open its doors this fall at The Yards neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The studio will host two training modalities under one roof in the brand new Urby apartment community at 1331 Yards Place SE.
Rev’d NVYD is owned by a powerhouse trio of long-time Washington D.C. residents and fitness enthusiasts. Kendra Simms, a tech leader and engineer by trade, Jessica Taylor, a project manager and former athlete, and Ashley Calloway, a business development professional and award-winning indoor cycling trainer. This trio brings a shared passion for fitness and desire to bring D.C. a one-of-a-kind, inclusive, empowering environment where individuals of all fitness levels can thrive.
The Rev’d NVYD studio will host two of the brand’s signature modalities in a brand new, state-of-the-art 3,000+ sq. ft. studio space. These offerings will include Indoor Cycling, and Powerhouse, a high intensity, low impact workout that blends Pilates-inspired training, strength training, and cardio elements utilizing an X-Former machine.
This announcement marks a significant milestone as the third Rev’d Franchised location, and an extension of the Rev’d footprint along the East Coast.

Rev’d will be located within the retail space of Navy Yard Urby in the thriving Yards neighborhood in Washington, D.C. Opening this summer, D.C. Navy Yard Urby will include 467 brand new studio, one-, two-, and three bedroom apartments, as well as a 3,000 SF gym, a roof top pool, dog park, and space to work from home.
