Thanks to Steve for sending from outside Chicatana around 2:45am: “There were a bunch of fire and other emergency vehicles there. I was surprised to see so many.”

DC Fire and EMS reported: “Final Update: Box Alarm – 3900 Block of 14th Street NW

All fire contained to kitchen.

Cause of fire is accidental/mechanical in nature. @DC_DOB, @_DCHealth, and @PepcoConnect requested to scene.

Art All Night Returns to Uptown on September 11

Experience Art All Night on Friday, September 11, 2026, where the citywide celebration of art, music, and culture kicks off. For one night, neighborhoods will come alive with visual and culinary art, interactive activities, dance, live music, and creative experiences for all ages. The festival is free and offers residents and visitors an opportunity to explore local businesses, discover D.C. artists, and experience the unique character of Uptown neighborhoods, including Petworth, 16th Street Heights, and Brightwood Park.
