“Chicatana, the acclaimed Mexican eatery in Petworth known for its “fine Mexican cuisine,” is thrilled to announce its relocation to a larger space just a few doors down from its current locaFon. To celebrate this exciting new chapter, Chicatana will host an exclusive pre-opening party on August 29, 2024, followed by its grand opening on Friday, August 30th.

The restaurant is moving from 3917 to 3901 14th St NW, Washington, D.C. The new location offers a more spacious dining area, allowing Chicatana to serve more guests and expand its menu offerings while maintaining its intimate, chef-driven experience.

“We’re excited to grow and provide an even better dining experience for our cherished patrons,” said Marcelino Zamudio, co-chef and co-owner of Chicatana. “This move represents our commitment to the Petworth community and our passion for sharing authentic Mexican flavors with a modern twist.”

The pre-opening party on August 29, from 5 PM to 10 PM, will give friends, family, and neighbors a sneak peek of the new space and menu. AYendees will enjoy a 25% discount on all menu items during the event. ReservaFons are required and can be made through Eventbrite.

Chicatana will officially open its doors to the public on Friday, August 30th. The grand opening will showcase the restaurant’s expanded menu, including favorites like their renowned tacos, innovaFve small plates, and signature cocktails cra`ed with fresh-squeezed juices and housemade syrups.
