Thanks to Steve for sending from outside Chicatana around 2:45am: “There were a bunch of fire and other emergency vehicles there. I was surprised to see so many.”

DC Fire and EMS reported: “Final Update: Box Alarm – 3900 Block of 14th Street NW

All fire contained to kitchen.

Cause of fire is accidental/mechanical in nature. @DC_DOB, @_DCHealth, and @PepcoConnect requested to scene.

Units going in service shortly.”

“No fire extended to adjacent commercial establishments, rather smoke conditions exist in next door restaurant.

All fire is extinguished.

Ventilation in progress.”
