“Compass Rose as you’ve known it for 11 years is going to close on T street at the end of this month. June 1 will be its last day of service. It’s been a hell of a ride but it’s time for Compass, the nomad that she is, to move West. Compass Rose will take a little summer vacation with plans to open back up in a few months in the space, but as something very different that we hope still serves our neighborhood well. Thanks to all who passed on to us the sad news from Haikan:

“After almost 10 years in Shaw, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our beloved Haikan.

The challenges of food costs, Initiative 82 and the economic climate in the city brought us to this decision.
