From the DC Office of the Attorney General (OAG):

“Attorney General Brian L. Schwalb today announced that the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) secured a $1.75 million judgment against Talea Ristorante and its owner, Hamza Hadani, for systematically stealing employees’ wages and violating numerous laws that protect District workers.

The judgment requires Talea and Hadani to pay $1,332,408 in restitution to 95 harmed restaurant workers, (more…)

I saw this new newspaper station outside the Cleveland Park metro station. Google says China Daily is owned by the Chinese Communist Party. Anyone know anything about this? Seems odd it just appeared last week.

Join DC Road Runners for the Run Better, Run Smarter Workshop at Balance Gym in Buzzard’s Point. The workshop is a comprehensive hands‑on (feet-on?) training experience designed for runners of all levels—from first‑timers to seasoned athletes preparing for fall races like the Army Ten-Miler, Marine Corps Marathon, and National Capital 20 Miler.

This workshop brings together industry experts, in coaching, strength training and HYROX, mobility and injury prevention, sports nutrition, and heart health.

R. passes on an email from Pepco:

“Hello,
This is an important message about your Pepco account.
Due to a miscalculation of the DC Administrative Credit on your February bill, your account received a larger credit than intended. To correct this, you will see a debit adjustment applied to your next bill.
You do not need to take any action at this time.”

Anyone else get that? Time to go solar?
