Animal Fix

Greetings humans! My name is Magnolia and just like the flower, I am beautiful and sweet. I am always happy to see everyone on the street and will be the first to greet you when you come home. My signature tail wag and booty shakes are infectious, and people are naturally drawn to my super sweet demeanor and enthusiasm. At bedtime, I like to be as close to you as possible and will cuddle with you all night if that is your wish, but I am also crate-trained!

I enjoy walks and playing with the other dogs at daycare. I can entertain you with my puppy mischief but can be redirected with a chew, toys, or going out for a walk. I am a good girl on walks — and I know that’s where I’m supposed to go potty. My foster challenges me to help get my energy out by eating my dinner in a snuffle mat. I do enjoy my dinner!

If you are looking for the sweetness of a Magnolia flower that will last a lifetime, then let’s meet! Just like the flower, I will bring you joy!

Houdini is a spunky, loving, and playful purr machine! He is a ton of fun. Like the cats in ancient Egyptian paintings, he has a long neck, slender face, and large eyes. Houdini likes to talk and let you know his mind with his distinct meows like no other cat. He greets any visitor. Houdini is confident and outgoing and showcases his love for his people by snuggling with them in bed or on the couch. He is a “lapcat” and a “chest cat,” especially when he wants you to wake up and feed him in the morning. He also shows his affection by giving nose kisses and licks. He adores all fur friends, both dogs and cats alike.

Diego is a simple guy who doesn’t ask for much – just wet food, chin and cheek scratches, hugs, belly rubs, and a sunbeam to lounge in. He’s a bit timid with new people, but once he feels comfortable he’ll reveal his affectionate side and become your bestest, cutest cuddle buddy. He’s definitely on his way to becoming a lap cat! Between the brothers, Diego is the calmer and more reserved of the two, but he’ll make sure to remind you he is JUST as talkative as his brother Houdini!

If you’re looking for a pair of cuties to bring immense joy and abundant love into your home, apply today to adopt Diego and Houdini!

Fundraiser

“Dear PoPville,

A leader of the Rosedale Community is trying to fundraise for new uniforms for the dance crew at Benning Courts. Any help sharing would be amazing.”

The GoFundMe says:

“As you all know I have been doing this for many years. I love working in my community. With that being said, we need your help. We have a group of youth who dedicate their free time doing something that they love and that’s dancing. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

Any word on when this portion of R street will re-open? It was closed due to the NW Boundary Tunnel project. It looks done but it’s still closed.”
