“Dear PoPville,

Looks like there was a shooting during the day (Tuesday) by the Petworth playground. happened around 3pm on Taylor. When I drove past around 6, MPD was on the scene and had evidence markers on the ground.”

“On October 7, 2025, at approximately 3:58 p.m., Fourth District officers responded to the 800 block of Taylor Street, Northwest, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting and damaged property. Victims reported being shot at by the suspect, (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I would like to post a thank you and see if I can reach these people who helped me today. I (27F) was waiting for the bus on Florida Ave NE when this guy approached me, asking me for the bus schedule, and would not leave me alone after I tried telling him repeatedly that I didn’t know. He was telling me to check my phone for the bus schedule (potential play for my phone perhaps?) He was physically cornering me and I was uncomfortable and getting increasingly on edge.
