National Weather Service reported: “Dense Fog Advisories are currently in effect for most areas east of the Blue Ridge until 10 AM. Fog/low clouds should clear out later this morning, giving way to mostly sunny skies for the afternoon hours.”

And check out this phenomenal shot by Mark Alan Andre (plus a little Bob Marley to get the morning started right): (more…)

There is now a liquor license placard for ‘The Lounge’ at the former Eighteenth Street Lounge space:

“A new Retailer’s Class C Nightclub with a seating capacity of 499 and Total Occupancy Load of 499. Summer Garden with 37 seats.”

Seems aspirational at the moment but definitely looking forward to learning more.

In June Eighteenth Street Lounge announced it would be closing after 25 years.

STAY TUNED.

Dear PoPville

“Dear PoPville,

I’m looking for a contractor to replace the wood front porch of our Petworth rowhouse. Due to some bad structural work and rotting railings, we’re looking at a complete replacement job but we do want to keep to the original style (i.e. no metal railings). Anyone have good experiences with a contractor for this kind of work, or any decking work?”
