We are looking for a new roommate to join our four-bedroom rowhouse in beautiful Mt. Pleasant! The house is located on a quiet street, two blocks from the main drag in Mt. Pleasant. Our house has large, well-lit common spaces with all of the standard appliances (dishwasher, oven/stove, washer/dryer, etc.), a front porch with a swing, and a finished backyard with a grill and fire pit. There’s also plenty of bike storage in the basement mudroom and we have a parking pad so you would have free private parking!

THE ROOM
This private second-story room is approximately 10’x17′ (plenty of room for a queen-size bed, desk, and dresser) and has two large windows that let in plenty of light. It shares a bathroom with one roommate.

US
Your future housemates are three women in our 20s and 30s who are teleworking with jobs in politics/policy. One of us has a cat named Eddie (sorry, no additions to the cat family). One of us is an avid film watcher who’s always looking for an excuse to use her immersion blender. The last of us is a local history nerd who loves podcasts and nights around the fire pit in the backyard. We’re looking forward to hanging out with our new roommate and watching bad TV, sharing some meals together, and playing board games.

YOU
We’re looking for a well-adjusted, reliable non-smoker of any gender who is taking coronavirus seriously.

LOGISTICS
Rent for the room is $960 a month plus utilities. The room is available now, and we are looking for someone to move by November 1st. Flexibility to sublease or sign a year-long lease.

Send us an email with some information about yourself, ideal move-in dates, etc., and we’ll find some time to have you come by the house!

WHY YOU SHOULD MOVE INTO OUR HOUSE DURING CORONAVIRUS
1. Between the front porch swing and the patio, you can be outside, surrounded by trees and flowers without leaving the property lines.
2. There are many places to telework. In addition to your room and the outdoor spaces, there is a spacious living room and dining room with plentiful seating.
3. Eddie, your new feline roommate is friendly and good for comic relief.
4. We live on a quiet street filled with trees, great for taking walks, and right near Rock Creek Park for hiking/jogging/biking adventures.
5. We are friendly folks who are taking coronavirus seriously and will be open and respectful about boundaries.”
