Michael Neibauer reported on twitter:

“Pending BZA special exception approval, D.C.’s first Burgerim franchise is planned for 850 Quincy St. NW, at the corner of Rock Creek Church Road and Georgia Ave.”

Taqueria Habanero not sitting by quietly while Mezcalero expands. The Taqueria Habanero vs Mezcalero wars rage on. Thanks to Elle for sending the photo above announcing a new location coming to 8147 Baltimore Ave in College Park. For those not familiar with Taqueria Habanero, I pity you. Also:

On August 26th at 4pm, the Coupe will close down for just over 10 days. (more…)

Thanks to Jae for sending the update that Ministry had a private event and “opens next week.” Ed. Note: Not sure if that means later this week or next week. At any rate it’s soon! Their website lists staff positions open and says:

“At The Ministry, we love all things coffee, food, and wine.

It is the heart and soul of what we do. Coffee is our energy, food is our motivator, and wine is our joy. We believe in basking in the moments that are meant to be unrushed. We seek to provide an inviting space that encourages conversations, engagement, and community. (more…)
