The Coupe To Close for around 10 Days Starting August 26th at 4pm – Revamping the Space and the Menu

“Dear PoPville,

The Coupe is going through some changes in the next month. We’ve had summer hours for about a month now (weekdays: 7a-2p; weekends: 7a-4p) and have been working diligently on some awesome projects that will not only better The Coupe for the customers and community, but also for our amazing staff.

On August 26th at 4pm, the Coupe will close down for just over 10 days.

During those days, we will be launching a new POS system called Toast. The Coupe will serve as a model for our company. Toast will allow us to better serve our customers and our staff will be able to focus on the customer experience as a whole. We will have handheld POS’s across most of the restaurant and the new features in the system should cut our average ticket times for all times of the day (we all know brunch is busy at the Coupe and we want to be able to do it better).

We’ll also be launching a revamped menu! As such, we will need to re-train existing staff and train new staff on the new system and our new menus as well. We are listening to our customers and going back to what the Coupe was supposed to be — comfort, healthy food with options for everyone, including some delicious gluten free and vegan options. As our motto states — “handmade to the community”.

We are taking that statement to heart with all the changes coming up. We are re-painting walls, re-arranging some furniture, and even creating a waiting area for customers waiting for tables during brunch. We are making sure that every space caters to our customers, from the kiddos who love our pancakes to those who enjoy happy hour and who crave a bloody mary on weekends.

We are re-focusing and making some awesome changes that will benefit all — from management, to staff, and to customers.”

Well-Paid Maids, the only certified living-wage cleaning company in the D.C. area, has always operated Monday to Friday. But last month, they asked customers: Would you prefer weekend cleanings? 33% responded “yes.”

That means Well-Paid Maids is now offering weekend cleanings! The goal is to make your life as easy as possible. If your weekday schedule is too hectic or you work from home, this is for you!

Appointments are available to book now with services starting Saturday, March 23. We suspect these time slots will be popular, so don’t wait to schedule!
