“Dear PoPville,
Would you mind asking for recs on weekday lunch spots (we’re taking the day off bc friends are visiting, but sending our toddler to daycare, so non-kid friendly spots preferred.) We’re looking for a spot where there’s a big difference between dine-in vs. takeout experience. As new pandemic parents who haven’t really figured out babysitters, we don’t “get out” much!”

Last week a reader noticed “Compliments Only sub shop wallpaper up in the Sorellina windows”.
The owners tell me: “The PLAN is to close 14th and open Dupont in early summer.
Menu will have all the same items plus a few new ones. We’re getting an oven (we currently just have 1 induction burner) which means…hot subs! Meatball sub anyone?!?!? Read More

Thanks to Allison for sending: “Compliments Only sub shop wallpaper up in the Sorellina windows. I’m sad because I loved Sorellina but this is a good add to the hood!”
Compliments Only currently has a shop on 14th Street in Logan Circle and arguably has the best turkey sub in town.
STAY TUNED.

Thanks to James for sending: “Slight update but Sichuan Pavilion on K is going to reopen by March 15 (that’s the goal). Same owner – he was inside cleaning up and fixing up. They took down the paper covering the glass too – same decorations, for now.”
