Thanks to N. for passing on the email announcement:

“Meet ANY DAY NOW- your new all day restaurant!

Hi Novel Residents!

We are beyond excited to join your home here at Novel South Capitol. We can’t wait to meet you all and serve your beautiful community. We are honored and ecstatic to grow into this community space and provide you all with a welcoming home-not so far away-from home. We wanted you all to be the first to know of our opening ahead of our announcement to the general public. As of today, our anticipated opening for our cafe is Monday April 17th, we will offer breakfast, coffee and a co-working space for you all from 7am – 4pm. To give our team time to work out final details we are anticipating rolling out our dinner service Saturday April 22nd. Construction and Design will start in the upcoming week so the café space will be closed off to the lobby until we are ready to reveal our new look.

A bit about us:

Our team, headed by Chef Tim Ma, who has opened a number of restaurants throughout the area including Lucky Danger, American Son, and Kyirisan have been working closely with ownership and the management team here at Novel South Capitol to ensure that we remain first and foremost an amenity to the residents that live here, but also hope to bring new life and energy into the restaurant space, and this prominent corner of Navy Yard.

We are an all day concept that will be open daily at 7am serving specialty coffee, pastries, and flavorful scallion pancake breakfast sandwiches. We want to be an open space for you to telework, grab breakfast, bring family and friends, gear up for your busy day, or unwind on a leisurely morning. In addition to our specialty offerings, Novel residents will have access to an exclusive roast drip coffee as a complimentary amenity from us to you.

The space will convert to a full scale restaurant at night, our talented chef team will be serving up American fare with creative twists. Our bar will have a number of craft cocktails and great wine selections. We can’t wait to host you, whether at the bar for a post-work drink, in the cocktail lounge for that special date night, or dining with us in the main dining room. No matter the occasion, we are here for you!”

STAY TUNED.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
