UPDATE: “I work in the building and the front desk confirmed this is new location of The Best Sandwich Place. They are looking to open this spring.”

Signage is up at the new Panera in the former Beefsteak location and workers tell me they’ll be opening the “1st week of February.”
Panera closed south of the circle at 1350 Connecticut Avenue, NW back in May 2020.
Stay tuned for an exact opening date.
