Thanks to Terra for sending from “an alley near the Georgia Ave/Petworth Metro station. Even the cat is surprised!”

If you spot a hawk or any interesting wildlife around town, lunching or otherwise, and get a good photo please send in an email where you spotted it to [email protected] and I’ll add it to the queue. Hawks around Town is made possible by a generous grant from the Ben and Sylvia Gardner foundation.

Last night Miriam asked: “Um, is anyone else in DC unable to order from IKEA because when you enter your billing address, it says that the District of Columbia is an “invalid input”? I just want some outdoor chairs…”

Many people responded with similar frustrations. I think Nikki B. summed it up best: “#TaxationWithoutHomeDecoration”

Crime

“Dear PoPville,

I had a package delivered to my apt near 3rd and Rhode Island in Shaw with some family heirlooms in it. Unfortunately it was stolen off the front porch before I had a chance to grab it. In it were 3 Japanese Kokeshi dolls amongst some other items like clothes and food. Thanks for your help.”

“This print was stolen from my mail yesterday at 16th and Columbia St NW”
