“Dear PoPville,

My husband and I have optimistically decided to embark on our home renovation this fall. It is a big job and we anticipate having to move out. We would like to pull bids from a variety of well-regarded general contractors. I would like to ask about Black-owned construction firms. If any reader has a good recommendation, we would love to hear about it.”

The DC Chamber Musicians close out the 25-26 season with popular works by Brahms and Dohnanyi, and three selections of newer works that are sure to delight. All set in the lovely St. Thomas’ Parish Episcopal Church in the Dupont Circle neighborhood. Join us afterward for a reception featuring light refreshments (including beer and wine) and an opportunity to chat with the musicians.

“not sure if this has already been circulated but if you donate blood with the Red Cross, they’ll do a free COVID antibody test! Just went yesterday to their location by the White House and only took about an hour!”

From the Red Cross:
