“Getting daily visits from hungry deer who seem unphased by humans (he barely flinched when I tapped on the glass to stop him from eating my hofstra plants). Niles (see cat in mid-yawn in chair) is equally unphased by his deer visitors.”

“Here’s my pup, Midnight (The Relentless) in his favorite spot, the chaise on our couch, which we rarely get to use. It’s his house now, we just pay for it. We live in Petworth.”

“Dear PoPville,
Do you have any recommendations for an exceptional tailor? Asking for a male friend who is extremely particular about hems, shoulders, cuffs, lapels, and whatnot. All of it…”

“Dear PoPville,
Wanted to pass this along. I am a health care provider who works in private practice (not with COVID patients but in close contact with people all day) and I was wondering how we would be notified of the vaccine availability since we aren’t affiliated with a large health care system.
A former coworker of mine was in Giant today and randomly asked the pharmacist for info and got this today! Want to pass along to all health care providers who aren’t affiliated with the big hospitals/health care systems. You’ll likely need to bring a copy of your license or proof of your employment in a health care setting.”
Update from the Mayor’s Office:
“Today, as part of the District’s equitable distribution of a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine, DC Health launched a portal for workers in health care settings in the District to make an appointment to get vaccinated. At this time, the portal, which can be accessed through coronavirus.dc.gov/vaccinatedc
“We are launching this portal as a next step in our Vaccination Plan to ensure that those individuals who work in our health care settings and are at highest risk of exposure and infection know where to go to get the vaccine,” said Dr. Ankoor Shah, Interim Principal Deputy Director for DC Health and the District’s COVID-19 Vaccine Program Lead.
