“Dear PoPville,

With all the posts about how hard it is to get an appointment at the DC DMV, I had to share that you can register your car without going to the DMV!

Back in November, I bought a used car from an auto shop in Maryland who could not process DC tags. I haven’t owned a car since living in DC, so I had to go to the DMV to get tags before I could take it off the lot. Like many readers, getting an appointment was IMPOSSIBLE.

So I did some digging and learned that you can title/register/tag/etc. your car at tag and title shops in the area. (more…)

Update: Missed connection married :(

“Dear PoPville,

I was walking down Q Street between 15th and 16th St NW last night around 6:45pm (February 4) and a cute guy walked by with his golden retriever puppy. We chatted about the dog for a minute or two; he said she was three and a half months old and apologized when she tried to pull my scarf off. I wish I’d asked for the guy’s name but didn’t get the chance – here’s hoping he sees this and remembers the girl who stopped to say hi to him and his dog! (more…)

Bree is a friendly snuggly 12 year old girl. She does well with dogs and cats and spends most of her time cuddled up for a nap. She enjoys going outside to potty and needs to go out often. She is also pee pad trained. She does not hear very well but that doesn’t stop her! She loves treats and will follow you around to make sure she isnt missing out on a snack! She is a happy girl and loves meeting new people. To learn how to meet her, apply here.

Precious is one beautiful companion inside and out. She is a very loving cat who would be happy to cuddle all morning and nap on a stack of pillows all day, though her favorite place in the world is her cardboard box. Precious prefers not to be picked up, but really enjoys being pet. Her favorite toy is a teaser toy with a string that she can chase when she’s not trying to play with laptop charging cords. Precious will adapt to her new home quickly, and will be asking for pets in no time. Precious would be best as an only cat. To learn more about Precious, check here.

“Dear PoPville,

Here’s a question I haven’t seen yet. A friend got a fantastic new job and I’d like to send her something: a gift box, booze, both possibly. Are there any local businesses in DC who can put a gift box/bag together for me and deliver it to my friend? She’s in upper N.W. Thank you!”
