I rented a free2move car over the weekend. I actually decided to do a nice deed and put gas in the car for the next person because I had time, something I always try to do. When I submitted my gas receipt for an account credit, I got an email stating I had 30 days to use the credit. I was super disappointed as there was never a 30-day use restriction on using the credit before and it was never announced nor was I personally notified of the change. I don’t need to rent a car every month so I just threw away $25. (more…)

“Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), the co-chair of the Quiet Skies Caucus and a member of the Subcommittee on Aviation, today introduced a bill to require helicopters in District of Columbia airspace to fly at the maximum altitude permitted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), with limited exceptions. “Detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit are investigating a traffic fatality that occurred on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in the 3000 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.
The preliminary investigation revealed, at approximately 7:50 a.m., a 2019 Tesla Model 3, occupied by five subjects, was traveling southbound in the left travel lane in the 3000 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest. The Tesla crossed the solid-double yellow lines into the northbound lane of travel, struck a 2018 Toyota C-HR, and then struck a 2010 Mercedes-Benz ML-350, head-on. A 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, that was also traveling northbound, then struck the passenger side of the Tesla. (more…)

“Metro has opened the public comment period for the proposed Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) budget that seeks to expand service on Metrorail and Metrobus, provide more equitable fares, implement a low-income fare program, enhance public safety, and maintain a safe and reliable system through capital investments.
The community is encouraged to provide feedback on the $4.8 billion capital and operating budget proposal that focuses on creating the best service and customer experience on #YourMetro throughout the region.
