Just noticed these new (to me) VEO scooters and e-bikes and was wondering if anyone had used them and how they compare to other scooters/bikes. But then I thought what the hell – let’s expand the question a bit for a proper FQotD – how do you get around town mostly these days? Bus? Bike? Car? Walk? Scooter? Metro? Uber/Lyft? Moped? Other?

I rented a free2move car over the weekend. I actually decided to do a nice deed and put gas in the car for the next person because I had time, something I always try to do. When I submitted my gas receipt for an account credit, I got an email stating I had 30 days to use the credit. I was super disappointed as there was never a 30-day use restriction on using the credit before and it was never announced nor was I personally notified of the change. I don’t need to rent a car every month so I just threw away $25. (more…)

“Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), the co-chair of the Quiet Skies Caucus and a member of the Subcommittee on Aviation, today introduced a bill to require helicopters in District of Columbia airspace to fly at the maximum altitude permitted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), with limited exceptions.
