Reservations can be made via Resy or through the restaurant’s website and are strongly recommended as we book up quickly. Note that lunch will be offered during the weekdays of Restaurant Week (Aug. 28–Sept. 1 from 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) and brunch on that Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 2–3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.). “Metro will begin track work over the weekend, August 12-13, that will require single tracking between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory stations, reducing service on the Blue and Orange lines to every 24 minutes. Silver Line trains will also turn back at Federal Center SW instead of going to Downtown Largo. On the Red Line trains will single track between Grosvenor and Medical Center with trains operating every 20 minutes only between Friendship Heights and Shady Grove. (more…)

Beginning August 16, 2023, D.C. residents are in for a treat as MOLTN Cookies, the ghost kitchen bakery serving baked to order cookies, opens a new location in Dupont Circle. “08/07: Federal offices in the DC area are OPEN but have a staggered early departure with the option for unscheduled leave. Employees must depart by 3:00 PM at which time Federal offices are closed.”

“Dear PoPville,

I signed a BINDING not to exceed estimate with a broker (didn’t advertise themselves as such but here we are). The total was not to exceed $1782 which I was to pay in 3 increments- one as a deposit, one at pick up, and one at delivery. The broker then subcontracted the job. The day they were to arrive I called bc they were late, they said sorry it’ll be another hour. Ok, np. Then they called back and said their truck broke down but they could be there the next day.
