This is the former Retrospect Coffee and Tea space that closed over the summer and Java Green before that. Next up Moxie’s. And they’ve apparently got a lot to offer including all day breakfast!

Moxie’s website says:

“JOIN US FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH, COFFEE OR DESSERT

At Moxie’s, you’ll experience a casual, friendly environment with great food and a relaxing atmosphere.
We have a different, modern and ecclectic menu to satisy both your naughty and nice cravings!
And remember to add one of our Handcrafted Signature Sauces to your entree.”

My favorite comment from IntangibleArts when we judged Mehak back in 2010:

“I call this one decent “utility-grade” curry. That is, when you wake up & your first thought is I MUST HAVE A CURRY FIX TODAY, like a classic addict (guilty!), it’s a suitable methodone. Not the best but far from wretched. But then, I’d rather have a bad curry than a GOOD anything else.

Hey, there’s nothing wrong with “middle of the road”… ask any possum on the B/W parkway.

what?”

Update on Bozzelli’s Italian Sandwich Shop – the cashless spot coming to the former Which Wich/Cafe Mediterranean/Quinznos space just north of K Street.

The owner tells me: “We received our building permit on Dec 14. We are shooting for a late winter opening.”

Updates as they get closer to opening.  You can check out their Crystal City menus here.

Tough times continue for Noodles and Company, earlier last month they closed their Woodley Park location and now a reader reports:

“The Noodles spot next to the Grk restaurant on 19th & M Street in South Dupont is closed, they’re moving everything out.”

They opened up the 19th Street location in early 2014. Updates when we learn who takes over the space. This leaves only one Noodles spot left in DC – 1667 K Street, NW.
