Inexplicably, still waiting on Walgreens [Tony T Goodman notes the shelves are fully stocked and Amanda says “I’ve hung around on multiple days to ask workers when it’s opening, and I’ve gotten all kinds of (ultimately false) answers.”],to open but Famiglia Pizzeria:

This is the former Retrospect Coffee and Tea space that closed over the summer and Java Green before that. Next up Moxie’s. And they’ve apparently got a lot to offer including all day breakfast!
Moxie’s website says:

My favorite comment from IntangibleArts when we judged Mehak back in 2010:
“I call this one decent “utility-grade” curry. That is, when you wake up & your first thought is I MUST HAVE A CURRY FIX TODAY, like a classic addict (guilty!), it’s a suitable methodone. Not the best but far from wretched. But then, I’d rather have a bad curry than a GOOD anything else.

Or the street chickens are kicking it up a notch. Anyway this sucks for The Chickery. They only opened up in the former burger spot last week.

Update on Bozzelli’s Italian Sandwich Shop – the cashless spot coming to the former Which Wich/Cafe Mediterranean/Quinznos space just north of K Street.
The owner tells me: “We received our building permit on Dec 14. We are shooting for a late winter opening.”
