“The Logan Circle Shack will be located at 1400 14th Street NW, smack dab in the heart of the District and steps from historic Logan Circle. The Logan Circle Shack will be a new spot for our DC friends to kick back and enjoy a ShackBurger® on its large outdoor patio, complete with picnic tables and greenery. “California-style burgers” available via delivery starting Tuesday

“On Tuesday, March 14, CaliBurger will launch delivery of its California-style burgers to customers in the D.C. metro area. The delivery program launches from Union Kitchen in Ivy City (1369 New York Avenue NE) and is the first step in the brand’s plans to open multiple neighborhood storefronts around the region later this year. The menu is centered around the style of burger popular in Southern California for decades – thin fresh beef patties piled high with crisp vegetables on a grilled bun, served with fresh cut fries and handspun ice cream shakes.

The Shake Shack Coming to Logan Circle will have a Sidewalk Café with 81 seats

Looks like the new Shake Shack coming to Logan Circle will have outdoor seating wrapping around both 14th and Rhode Island. The just posted liquor license application says:

“New Restaurant. Sidewalk Café with 81 seats. Total Occupancy Load of 138.”

and hours are listed as: “Sunday through Saturday 11 am –11 pm”

Updates as they get closer to opening.

Another Restaurant Closes on 19th Street

Thanks to Adam for sending. Red Robin Burger Works only opened in March of last year. This is also the former space of Boloco Burritos who also abruptly closed in December of 2014.

Other bars/restaurants that have recently closed on 19th Street are: Olivia’s Dinner, Protein Bar, Sophie’s Cuban Cuisine, Noodles and Co., Smith and Wollensky’s and Science Club:

Thanks to Alex for sending word: “Looks like the shake shack at 14th and Rhode Island is a go! Going to need to get some bigger pants for the winter.”

Back in March we shared some scuttlebutt about Shake Shack looking to come to Logan Circle. Confirmed and now we know where – the former Caribou Coffee location at 14th and Rhode Island Ave, NW. You can see Shake Shack’s Dupont menu here.

After Legal Settlement Z Burger becomes All About Burger in Glover Park and SW Waterfront

Thanks to a reader for sending. You can see the All About Burger Menu here. Back in April the Washington Business Journal reported:

“Peter Tabibian, founder of the quirky Z-burger chain of restaurants, keeps the rights to use the brand name going forward, per a legal settlement with his former business partners.

In addition, Tabibian will also retain two of the burger chain’s original six restaurants: the first-ever Z-Burger in Tenleytown and the Columbia Heights location. Four others — in Clarendon, Glover Park, Southwest Waterfront and White Marsh — will continue to be owned by his former partners, Mohammad and Ebrahim Esfahani, but they will be rebranded in the next 60 days.”

Mark It, Free Burgers (for first 100) at Shake Shacks on Tuesday

“This Tuesday, August 16th Shake Shack is celebrating the opening of its 100th location worldwide with free ShackBurgers across the U.S.! This means every Shake Shack in the DMV and Baltimore – except Nats Park – will open at 10:30am and give away free Shackburgers (or another sandwich or equal or lesser value) to the first 100 guests.
