Ed. Note: If this was a “DC Slow Street, please note that local traffic (IE if you live on the street) is still allowed but the speed limit is set at 15 miles per hour.

“Dear PoPville,

After returning home by car running an errand, my car was blocked from entering my own residential block from an intersection by an aggressively righteous runner. Mind you, he was running against traffic in the oncoming lane, on the street, while not a soul was present on the sidewalk. The man was principled – he literally stood his ground in front of my car by refusing to move, and enthusiastically demanded that I back into the intersection to enter through the oncoming lane where other cars were moving. “We lost my best bud Max back in early August. He was brave, strong, and beautiful until the end.”

“Tucker is a 4 year old Dutch Shepherd who was adopted 2 years ago.

He was in bad shape when my boyfriend got him and had really terrible anxiety. That’s why he has to go everywhere with his best friend moose.

Quarantine has been great for dogs, especially this guy, because we get to spend more time with them. He loves having us around and has been able to ween off of anxiety medication! And we have gotten so obsessed with him that we became those crazy dog people who incessantly take pictures and created an IG account @tuckduckmoose”

Dear PoPville

“Dear PoPville,

I’m hoping your readers can help me out. I’m a current DC resident with a car registered in DC. I’m in the process of trading in my car and purchasing a used car from a dealer out of state. The DC DMV requires an in person visit to register a new or used vehicle. As we’ve all realized, the DMV is appointment only and when I last checked there were no appointments available through April 2021. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

Local colleges have gone remote for the most part for the fall, so many students are not planning to return to dc anytime soon. A student tenant, who is not returning for fall, recently stop paying his share of rent for a group house. He has been trying to find someone to take over his responsibilities for the lease, without much luck. I am curious if and how other landlords may be dealing with similar student tenant issues, since there are a lot of colleges in DC. Thank you.”
