Update: “Definitely the foo fighters. They posted it online minutes ago. People who are in line can get 2 tickets and no more, but there is confusion about if the second person needs to be physically present. Must be here in person, numbered wristbands are being handed out. At 6:30, numbers will determine who gets opportunity to buy tickets for $30 but that is when you have to enter the venue.” (more…)

Update from WTOP:

“Imagine Phoenix Norwood’s surprise when he heard there was a four-foot alligator swimming among the boats at The Wharf Marina in Southwest D.C.

Norwood held the reptile until officials with D.C. animal control arrived to secure it. They will work with a group to relocate the animal to a more appropriate environment.”

“MPD Harbor Patrol responded to the Wharf Thursday for the report of a small alligator spotted in the Washington Channel. (more…)

To celebrate DC native Haili Blassingame’s debut novel, THEY ALL FALL IN LOVE AT THE END, Lost City Books is throwing a launch party themed around messy love stories. Haili, and a crew of writers she has assembled, will read excerpts from their work, but there will also be audience participation in the form of anonymously submitting messy dating stories.
