A picture is worth a thousand words – and Lowen’s smile really says it all! This loving and happy Rottweiler mix is about 2 years old, and loves his people (and peanut butter. and hot dogs.)! Lowen is on the timid side, and would benefit greatly from being in a home with a calm dog “sibling” to help him see the world as not too scary. He loves to go for walks and will be a great exercise companion! Lowen weighs just under 55 lbs. He is looking for a home where he can build his confidence and develop his loving and fun nature! Say hello to pretty Krissy! This approximately 3-year-old “tuxedo tabby” is a playful girl looking ideally for a forever home, and currently in need of a foster home! Krissy loves to play with fishing pole toys and to chase balls – while she would probably be best as an only cat, she does OK with mellow cats who respect her space, and has even made a friend at the Meows Corner Cat Café (his name is Antonio J). Krissy can be a bit timid and will do best in a patient and compassionate home, where she’ll be given the time to trust and develop affection. New construction is about to start right next to our apartment, for a 9 story condo building. We’re trying to decide what to do and curious about people’s experiences with the noise from construction like this, particularly whether the noise level changes at all over time. Is it just awful the whole time? Or is it particularly bad for a few months in the beginning (demolition, foundation work, etc.)?”

My name is Andy and I wanted you to help me spread the word out about my stolen dog. On October 9, 2020 my car was stolen in front of my partner house (900 Block of Euclid Street, NW). I step out the car to let my partner know we had to go and in that minute someone had took my car and my dog Bruno was in there. The next day my car was recover in Suitland, Maryland but Bruno was not there. (more…)
