Paddington were found as strays together and with their near identical markings, it’s clear they are not only best friends but brothers who would do best in a forever home where they could stay together. At 7 months, they are really coming into their personalities (and fully vaccinated/neutered). Shy at first, they need to check you out first to make sure you’re safe for their brother, but then they love all the affection. They love to snuggle with each other and you. Sometimes they seem to not be able to get close enough to me when sleeping. Pontoon is more of an adventurer and likes to lounge out in the open while Paddington loves soft and enclosed spaces. When he wants his belly rubbed (which is often) Paddington will roll over on his belly in the most adorable way. They aren’t overly hyper as they have each other to play with and are very quiet even when playing. They are just beginning to find their voices a little at meal time — a habit learned from their older foster siblings. Favorite activities are napping, window watching, and playing chase with each other, their foster brother, or ball toys. Could you give these two their forever home? For more information visit Lucky Dog Animal Rescue or email [email protected].

Meet beautiful Bella, a 3 year old pointer/labrador retriever mix who currently is living with a foster in Logan Circle. She is 60 pounds but she still thinks of herself as a lap dog.

She truly is one of the sweetest dogs her foster has ever met. Playful, affectionate and well behaved. She does have some quirks and special needs, like many rescue pups. Bella gets scared and nervous out on walks, so she will need an adopter who is willing to work with her to build up her confidence as she navigates the world. The work will be worth it!

In the right home with plenty of exercise, Bella is a calm girl who loves to snuggle. She can live in the city with someone who is willing and able to work with her on leash reactivity, but she would also do very well in a more suburban or rural area.

Read more about Bella and if you are interested in adopting her, fill out an adoption form on DC Paws Rescue’s website.
