“Dear PoPville,
I went to the Cleveland Park library to vote early yesterday after work at about 6pm. A man in a gray suit came into the polling place by himself and asked the elections supervisor if he could film inside because he was a member of “the media.” The supervisor sent him outside to talk to someone about filming, but shortly thereafter (more…)

“Attorney General Brian L. Schwalb today issued a know-your-rights advisory on poll monitoring and voter intimidation for District residents. DC and federal law protect the rights of District residents and all Americans to vote in a free and fair election without intimidation, coercion, or outside interference.
“Voting in DC is simple, secure, and reliable,” said Attorney General Schwalb.
“Anyone who experiences or witnesses interference with our local elections should report potential violations to our office and the DC Board of Elections.”

“Dear PoPville,
I feel like this sign missed the mark. Why is the only DC women’s team listed as the Mystics and why are they ranked last? The Spirit literally sells out the stadium. Women’s sports are bigger than ever! There are so many DC women’s teams and it feels like everywhere (even an informational poster about rank choice voting) the DC women’s teams are not getting the respect they deserve. It makes me sad!”
