I got a number of reports about delays/lines in voting at Marie Reed in Adams Morgan:

“Wait times are Marie Reed in Adams Morgan are over an hour! Only 3 voting machines in use.”

“Marie Reed only has 3 electronic voting booths so the line is LONG.”

DC Board of Elections replied to us: “We are working to fix the situation at Marie Reed.”

Fortunately looks good everywhere else: Read More

“Dear PoPville,

Here’s one for you…wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I went to vote in-person at one of the early voting centers. I’ve been registered to vote for years, voted in-person in the primary, and received a mail-in ballot for the general. I handed the election official my drivers license, and there was no record of me in the system. Read More

“Dear PoPville,

I’m assuming others have had this same issue, but I wanted to let readers know that if you haven’t received a mail-in-ballot (which DC automatically sends), then you need to call DC Board of Elections to request a new ballot. Electronic ballot requests ended on 10/15 and now you can only request a ballot to be sent to an address different from what’s on your voter registration.

DC BOE’s tracking system shows my ballot was mailed 21 days ago. Read More

Old campaign signs?

“Dear PoPville,

Now that the *DC* election results are in, I’m wondering if there is a coordinated drop-off point for folks to recycle signs and/or metal stakes. A quick search online shows that the city did something like this in 2008, but has there been anything announced for 2020? I have a few signs in my yard, as do many of my neighbors.”
