Fridays & Saturdays | Nov. 27 through Dec. 19 |6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

ZooLights will not be held on-site at the Zoo this year. Instead, the 24-foot ZooLights Express truck, festively decorated with light displays and featuring “Panda Claws,” will hit the road Nov. 27 to Dec. 19 and visit one Washington, D.C., ward each Friday and Saturday night from 6-8 p.m.”

C_brescia asked yesterday: “Are some/many people experiencing delays in getting back their COVID-19 testing results?”

Most early replies tend to be between 2-5 days.

Amanda (and others) recommend: “Make an account on labcorp…you get the results as soon as they come in, rather than waiting for them to report to dc health, then dc health reporting it to you.”

Though Phil notes: “I did that, and it’s hit-or-miss in terms of timing. LabCorp doesn’t always beat DC Health by that much, if at all.”

2900 block of Connecticut Ave, NW next to the Zoo

From MPD:

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Thursday, November 26, 2020, in the 2900 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 9:29 am, members of the Second District responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, members located an adult male inside an apartment suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Members located an additional adult male victim in the hallway, suffering from a gunshot wound. (more…)
