Solly’s, one of the very, very best bars in D.C. posts this morning:

“Soooo. Solly’s will close at 10pm 12/24 until March. We appreciate everyone’s support and look forward to returning. Please stop in for a laugh and a Powers before then. We will be posting ways to help support our staff during the shutdown so stay tuned.”

Ed. Note: I will update this post with ways to support the staff too.

Holiday

Park Road and Mt. Pleasant St, NW

Oh no, we’ve been loving these every year since at least 2008. Thanks to all who messaged that they haven’t gone up this year (they are usually up by now.) Maybe they are concerned with accessing people’s units due to the virus? Fingers crossed they are able to figure out a way to put them up before the New Year!!

He said that his friends came into town and they had no idea about the rally downtown and walked into it by accident. I was complaining that I just wanted to go to Anthropologie in peace and he laughed with us. (more…)
