So apparently I missed a lot of action while I was taking my daughter for her check up (all is well.) OK Catching up on what I missed it appears there were two helicopters this morning. One in Bloomingdale/Eckington and one in NoMa/Union Station.

Dear PoPville

“Dear PoPville,

I’m reaching out to let you know that the IATSE part of IMP (Box office and production staff) are still seeking the same pathway towards union recognition IMP gave to door staff, bartenders, hospitality, and kitchen staff.

We are still seeking the same path towards recognition. We are hoping that the public could show their support for us by emailing [email protected] to voice their support for box office and production staff.”

Event

The DC Chamber Musicians close out the 25-26 season with popular works by Brahms and Dohnanyi, and three selections of newer works that are sure to delight. All set in the lovely St. Thomas’ Parish Episcopal Church in the Dupont Circle neighborhood. Join us afterward for a reception featuring light refreshments (including beer and wine) and an opportunity to chat with the musicians.

On the Program

Cleveland Park

3515 Connecticut Ave, NW opened here in 2017 before that the space was home to Yogiberry and I believe this was the bagel place back in the day.

Thanks to Paige for sending word about the European Wax Center closing in the once vibrant Sam’s Park and Shop. Though the parking lot still flourishes! Well not for everyone

Anyway, maybe Wonder will save the day…

Restaurants

Ed. Note: For a hot second Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar was supposed to come here but then that pesky pandemic hit.

Thanks to Kaitlyn for sending:

“Noticed multiple days last week there were crews doing demo work inside. Nothing posted about what’s to come but hopeful that something will occupy this prime retail.”

Anyone hear any rumors? Stay tuned.
