“Dear PoPville,
Union Market security has decided to install a loudspeaker with high decibels that relays an anti loitering message. Every minute starting at 12:00am and ends at 6:00am. It’s superloud and can be heard yards away. I’m sure this is illegal.”

One building writes their residents:
“We have received several concerns regarding the loudspeaker located across the street that has been activating overnight between approximately 12:00 AM and 7:00 AM.
We understand how disruptive this has been, particularly for those whose windows face that direction, and we sincerely appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
After further review, we have been informed that the loudspeaker was installed by CSC, a company that oversees Union Market security. The equipment is located off our property and is not under our direct control. At this time, we are in communication with the appropriate contacts to explore options for removing the loudspeaker and mitigating the overnight noise concerns.
In the meantime, residents are more than welcome to submit individual 311 complaints as well, as multiple reports can support the review process.
Thank you for your patience and understanding, and please do not hesitate to reach out with any further concerns.”
