“The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in the search for three stolen puppies in an armed burglary in Northeast.
On Sunday, December 14, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast, for the report of a burglary. “The DowntownDC Business Improvement District is proud to announce that its “National Kiss Under the National Mistletoe” event on Saturday, December 13 at Anthem Row officially broke a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the most couples kissing underneath the mistletoe in a single venue.
A total of 1435 couples simultaneously kissed for five seconds underneath the National Mistletoe is a stunning 10-foot installation of greenery, blooms, ribbons, and a jingle bell, suspended 30-feet in the air.
