“Dear PoPville,

14th and Park Road, NW

Last week when we spoke about What Chain Stores/Fast Casual/Restaurants is DC Missing? (which featured a photo of Dave’s) a reader messaged me: “I was told by an employee that they are opening February 24”

Update via email: “Dave’s Hot Chicken will not be opening until March 3, 2023″

From MPD: “The 3000 block of 14TH Street is closed due to police activity.”

Update from MPD: “The incident has concluded and all roadways are reopened. We will be distributing information concerning this morning’s police activity later today.”

Thanks to Wendy for sending: “don’t even think of traveling to or thru Columbia Heights right now. 14th between Columbia Road and Irving filled with law enforcement.”

Update from Wendy: “Streets open now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That block is a hot mess.”
