From Makan (3400 11th Street, NW at Park Road):

“Malaysian restaurant, Makan, will serve a special pig roast menu this week, on Thursday, July 21.

The Columbia Heights kitchen run by Chef/Owner James Wozniak and team will serve a menu called “Babi,” featuring a charcoal-roasted suckling pig served with Malaysian-inspired sides and condiments including berempah potatoes, turmeric cabbage with curry leaf, sambal garam lada, spicy sweet soy and ginger scallion. The pig, roasted in a Caja China, is available for $24 to all guests who dine at the restaurant for dinner on the 21st. In addition, Thirsty Crow, the Malaysian-inspired sports bar will partner with Vasen Brewing Company, out of Richmond, on a tap takeover, also on the 21st. The pig roast special can also be enjoyed at Thirsty Crow.”
