“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the area of the 900 block of U Street NW. An adult male has been transported to an area hospital with a non life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. Officers have a subject stopped for questioning, and a weapon has been recovered.
Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area.
Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”

“The First District is currently investigating an incident that took place in the area of the 700 block of 7th Street SE which took place this evening [Wednesday] between 6:00pm and 6:15pm. A victim, of what we believe to have been an assault, woke up on the ground and realized that her purse was missing. However, she is unable to remember what happened. Her property was later recovered a short distance away.
The case is being actively investigated by First District detectives. Should anyone have any information regarding the incident, please contact the First District Detectives office at (202) 299-2025, or the Metropolitan Police Department’s Command Information Center at (202) 727-9099.”

“Sharing the unfortunate news that a young woman was violently mugged by two assailants on our street this evening between 6:14-6:20pm in front of the 1300 block of Wallach Place.
