“Since July 2018 the U St Escalator Replacement Project has been underway, replacing both east entrance escalators. Today marks the completion of these units and the replacement of all four entrance escalators at this station. Welcome back.”
2007 14th Street, NW
Marvin opened up back in 2007 (with a $15 burger, what?!?!?). I believe this is the first time I’ve ever seen a sign there. Sign of the times for sure. Looks like the Gibson is still holding strong sign-less next door.
Ed. Note: I think The Gibson is one of the best “hidden” gems in D.C. Still.

“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the area of the 900 block of U Street NW. An adult male has been transported to an area hospital with a non life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. Officers have a subject stopped for questioning, and a weapon has been recovered.
Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area.
Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”
