“Love ‘n Faith Cafe closing our doors….”

2420 14th Street, NW

From Faith Holmes:

“As a member of your community, I wanted to share a little of our story as I close the doors of the café… We here at Love ‘n Faith Community Café have been proud to be a member of your community but I am sad to say, we must now close our doors!

January 21st, 2019 Dr. Martin Luther King Day will be our final day. We hope you will join us for our annual Dr. Martin Luther King Day Celebration and last hurrah!

What: A Celebration of King Day
When: Monday, January 21st 7pm to 9pm
Where: Love ‘n Faith Community Café, 2424 14th Street, NW Washington, DC 20009

In 2014 we opened Love ‘n Faith Café in the heart of our Nation’s capital on 14th Street NW.

You see, as an entrepreneur I got into the Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream business at the very beginning of the explosion, and absolutely believed that I would become a very successful person–even franchising the concept and becoming a nationally known business–all while serving my community. No one could convince me otherwise. Now, four and a half years later, I’m on the verge of bankruptcy…. And must close our doors!

When you’ve built something from the ground up that did not financially succeed, it’s not easy to remember that you’ve also had many successes – that we served our community in an honorable way, that we achieved our goals of creating a warm and welcoming environment for all, that we do serve nutritious and delicious foods every day, that we have been a light in a community which struggles with darkness, that our customers know they’re loved and valued, and that all of our products are infused with love!

However, we can’t pay our bills and so with a heavy heart we will be closing our doors and this will be our final days!

Please come and visit us before we leave, help us close our doors with a bang, come and get your serving of Love Juice and/or ice cream… If your inspired, and we have made a difference in your world, let us know what we have meant to you either online or in person… We would love to hear your personal stories… Again, thank you for being a member of our community here at the café.

If you’d like a little more detailed information on my personal story, please see the following article.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
