Little District Books, on Barrack’s Row in Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C. opened in June 2022. A dream business for owner Patrick Kern, a 10-year resident of the greater Washington D.C. area.

The first six months showed us that the community was looking for a space like ours. The expansion has occurred earlier than planned. We were able to do a lot with our initial 300 sq. foot of retail, but there was also a lot we weren’t able to do. The new space will allow us to grow more with our book clubs, author events, and private events as well. (more…)

My husband and I were sitting at the bar [Friday] at 6:30 pm at Shaw’s Tavern having a drink when a man bumped into me and ordered a drink.
