courtesy Insomnia Cookies

From a press release:

“Insomnia Cookies, the beloved cult brand known for serving warm cookies, ice cream, and more sweets all day and late into the night, is set to open its newest stores in D.C.’s Shaw and Penn Quarter neighborhoods. With the Shaw location just down the street from Howard University and the Penn Quarter location conveniently nestled next to the Capitol One Arena, the two new bakeries help to solidify the brand’s mark on the city as the 4th and 5th Insomnia Cookies locations in D.C.

Here to the rescue when that craving for something sweet hits (even at 3 a.m.!), Insomnia Cookies offers in-store, pickup, and delivery options for customers to experience the company’s signature warm, delicious cookies. From the classic Chocolate Chunk cookie, to favorites like Snickerdoodle and Confetti Deluxe, a full slate of vegan options, frequently-rotating limited-edition menu, and ice cream to top them off, the brand’s offerings satisfy every sweet tooth – warm or cold.

In celebration of its new D.C. stores, Insomnia Cookies will be holding all-day grand opening events that will go late into the night at the Shaw and Penn Quarter bakeries, which will be baked full of freebies, treats, and more.

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
