In August, my friends and I came back to our car (we share it between the 3 of us) in Lanier Heights at the cross streets of Ontario Road and Ontario Place to find that it had been hit. A very kind stranger left a note explaining that a FedEx truck had hit the car and gave us the license plate information. (more…)

“Grab your heels and get ready to strut your stuff at the 38th Annual 17th Street High Heel Race!
This iconic DC tradition will take place on Tuesday, October 28th at 5:00 PM at 17th Street NW and R Street NW.

The night will include live performances from your local favorites, a costume contest, and, of course, the high heel race kicking off at 9:00 PM. Whether you’re going for first place, taking a casual stroll, or just came to admire the costumes, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

Pre-race performances begin at 5:00 PM, Racer registration opens at 7:30 PM, and the race begins promptly at 9:00 PM.”
